If you have an average-size bathroom renovation underway, consider a surface-mount cabinet with one, two, or three hinged doors depending on the size and style you're looking for. Prices for a natural
or white finished cabinet with mirrored doors framed in matching wood finish are in the $50 - $125 range. In addition to the basic square-looking cabinet, you can find oval-shaped mirrored bathroom medicine cabinets in metal finishes for around $100. For larger bathrooms (master bath), a surface mount type medicine cabinet will not detract from your decor at all. It may in fact enhance it somewhat as it is in essence, another piece of furniture. Usually, surface mount type cabinetry is larger and built with a solid wood construction that can be either recessed, or mounted on the wall surface. Look for these type cabinets to be more expensive than most with a price-tag of around $200 - $250. Lighted Surface Mount Cabinet
