Temporary ElectricAlways secure a temporary electric connection to facilitate your electrical power needs early on in your remodeling project. This is especially needed for major remodeling requiring complete interior demolition. In most cases (certainly in any foreclosure or normal house sale), you will be faced with the utilities shut off leading into the property. In a complete remodeling where new wiring will be installed, you will be needing the necessary power to operate your tools, compressors, etc., but outside the house.
This is when you will need to have a temporary pole installed on the premises by a liscenced electrical contractor. A permit must be obtained in order to have the pole set, and connected. You will continue to operate from the temporary connection until normal power is installed in the house. Expect to pay about $500 for this service to be installed. |
